Schedule Requirements for all Positions

  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

  • Flexible work schedule including split shifts.

Rate of Pay

  • The hourly rate of pay will be discussed at the time of an interview.

Start Date

  • Approximate start date for the following positions will be in the spring.

JOB DESCRIPTIONS

The nature of our business may require our staff to wear different hats throughout the season.

Dining Room Servers

  • Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Service

  • Set up, clean up and maintenance of all dining areas

  • Proper table set up for each meal period

  • Preparation of the server stations prior to and after meal periods

  • Ensuring inventory is well stocked and clean

  • Consistently providing high standards of customer service according to Hessenland Country Inn training manual.

  • Proper and efficient table service.

  • Proper wine service at the guest table.

  • Ensuring at the end of each shift the dining room is set up for the next meal period and all areas are clean and well maintained.

  • Proper closing procedures for cash audits.

  • Knowledge of meal and wine menus as well as the different brands of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

  • Knowledge of the Inn’s guestrooms, services, amenities and area attractions

  • Assist wherever needed.

Banquet Servers

  • Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Banquet Service

  • Set up, clean up and maintenance of all banquet areas

  • Proper table set up for each meal period

  • Preparation of the server stations prior to and after meal periods

  • Ensuring inventory is well stocked and clean

  • Consistently providing high standards of customer service according to Hessenland Country Inn training manual.

  • Proper and efficient table service.

  • Proper wine service at the guest table.

  • Ensuring at the end of each shift the banquet room is clean and well maintained.

  • Knowledge of banquet menu and bar brands.

  • Knowledge of the Inn’s guestrooms, services, amenities and area attractions.

  • Assist wherever needed.

Front Desk Agent

The main goal for this position is to represent the Inn in a highly professional manner through proper telephone etiquette, written communication and as “Lobby Greeter”. This individual will become one of our main ambassadors for the Inn.

  • Extensive knowledge of the Inn’s guestrooms, services, amenities and area attractions.

  • Extensive knowledge of the Inn’s registration system.

  • Answer all calls within 3 rings and be able to answer or direct to the proper individual.

  • Make reservations for the guestrooms, dining room and services as required by the guest.

  • Check in and Check out guests per Hessenland Training manual.

  • Preparation of check in and check out slips of guest accounts

  • Daily management of room status reports and organizing special requests.

  • Consistently providing high standards of customer service according to Hessenland

  • Country Inn training manual.

  • Administration work wherever required.

  • Maintaining Front Desk area in an organized and neat manner.

  • Overall knowledge of the local Chambers of Commerce, local accommodations and dining facilities as well as special local events.

  • Host for the dining room during the dinner meal period.

Housekeeping Attendant

  • Knowledge of the Inn’s guestrooms, services, amenities and area attractions.

  • Proper cleaning of guestrooms for new arrivals and stay over guests according to standards of Hessenland Country Inn.

  • Maintenance & cleanliness of public areas.

  • Laundering bedding, towels etc., folding and placing in respective areas.

  • Maintenance & cleanliness of the laundry and storage room.

  • Maintenance of inventories both in the laundry and storage room.

  • Consistently providing high standards of customer service according to Hessenland Country Inn training manual.

  • Provide assistance wherever needed.

Cook/Chef

  • 2-3 years experience in a related position

  • Knowledge of stocks and sauces.

  • Be able to work independently on completing daily mise en place list.

  • Line cook experience would be very beneficial in both a restaurant and banquet setting.

  • Basic baking knowledge beneficial in both restaurant and banquet setting.

  • Maintaining a safe and clean work area.

  • Maintain and organize dry storage, refrigerator and freezer space.

  • Aid in monthly inventory.

  • Understanding of HACCP.

  • Be consistent at all times.

  • Be able to work in a fast paced environment.
