Greetings from the sunny coast line of Lake Huron! We hope that you have all had many opportunities to enjoy the spectacular weather throughout the summer, as we look ahead to those beautiful autumn days.

This year marks the 14th Anniversary of our Winemakers Dinner ~ Rare Fare 2007 ~, highlighting culinary inspirations from “the West Coast of Ontario”. Enjoy the beauty and bounty of autumn with delectable food, fine wine, live entertainment and friends in our serene country setting.

“Rare Fare 2007” will take place Saturday, October 27th. The event will begin at 4:00 pm with Wine, Beer and Hors D’oeuvres. Selections being served in and around the Inn accompanied by live entertainment. There will also be a Silent Auction held throughout the afternoon with all proceeds going to the “Parkinson Society Canada”, dinner follows and will be served in the Garden Room at 6:00 pm. We are excited to introduce Karen Holgate and Jan Menkal as our entertainment for “Rare Fare 2007”. Karen and Jan are a professional and dynamic Jazz Duo, featuring vocals with guitar accompaniment. We had the pleasure of meeting them at an event hosted here at Hessenland Counrty Inn and are sure you will also enjoy their original musical interpretations.

The featured winery this year is Cave Spring Cellars, located in the picturesque village of Jordan in the heart of Niagara’s Wine Country. The winery was founded by Leonard Pennachetti and Angelo Pavan in 1986. Cave Spring Cellars also have some of the oldest vinefera plantings in Niagara. The winery has won many national and international awards for their superb wines. Once again this year we will also be showcasing one of Ontario’s Craft Breweries during the cocktail reception.
